Hey guys! I was recently trying to find some old mobile games I used to enjoy, where you just pay once and get the full experience. But now it feels like everything is free-to-play with ads or microtransactions. I came across this article: https://www.jedinews.com/misc/articles/why-pay-once-mobile-games-are-vanishing/, and it explains why this shift is happening in the industry. It actually made me realize how much things have changed over the years. I even tried downloading a few “new” games, but they all pushed in-app purchases. Have you guys had the same experience?

Just saw this thread and it caught my attention. I don’t play a lot of mobile games, but even I’ve noticed how common ads and purchases have become. It feels like that model is everywhere now, not just in games. Interesting to think about how trends like this shape the way we use apps in general, not just for entertainment.
